Who we are
Familja.si is a family organizer service: a calendar, tasks, shopping lists, expenses, documents and memories, shared by the members of a family. This policy explains which data we store, why we store it and how we protect it.

What data we store
We store only what the service needs to work:
- Account data: your name, email address, preferred language and password, stored only as a salted scrypt hash.
- Data that you and your family add: members, events, tasks, lists, reminders, expenses, important dates, documents, memories, messages, contacts and, if you fill it in, emergency information.
- Technical data: the sign-in session cookie, error logs and general statistics about visits to the website.
- Contact form messages: your name, email, subject and message.
Why we use it
We use the data only to provide the service: to show you your family information, to send the reminders and notifications you have chosen, to keep your account secure and to answer your messages.
We do not show ads, we do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Data is stored in a managed database. Files such as documents and photos are kept in private storage with no public address, and open only after a permission check, through links that expire after 15 minutes.
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. On every request, the server checks family membership and role permissions.
Who can see the data
Within a family, each member sees what their role allows. The family owner assigns the roles and can change the permissions.
We do not share data with third parties, except for the technical providers who help us run the service, such as server hosting, file storage and email delivery, and only as far as that purpose requires.
Emails
We send service emails such as reminders, invitations, password resets and the weekly summary. These emails may include standard open and click measurement, which tells us whether they arrive and whether they are useful.
Password reset and invitation links are not measured. You can change or turn off email notifications in Settings.
Children's data
Children's data is added and managed by the family owner or by an adult in the family. Children can have the Child or Teen role, with limited access.
The parent or guardian decides what is stored about the child and can change or delete it at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep data for as long as your account or family is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our active systems. We keep contact form messages for as long as needed to answer them and follow up on the request.
Your rights
You can view, correct, export and delete your data. You will find data export and account deletion in Settings.
For any other request, for example if you want to know which data we hold about you, write to us through the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. For important changes, we let you know in the app or by email.
